A Taisho Grand Ceremony (Taireikinenka) commemorative coin issued in 1915 to celebrate the enthronement of Emperor Taisho has been certified PCGS MS-67 — the highest grade ever recorded for this type anywhere in the world. Believed to originate from a pre-war private collection in western Japan, the coin passed UV inspection and surface photography during grading with no evidence of artificial toning or post-mint alteration. The certification is expected to trigger significant upward price pressure across all grade levels of this series, particularly for MS-65 and above examples.
